Extra SATA controller for PET410

(I have to preface this with I didn't build it this way- just inherited) I need to add more than 4 drives to my T410.  My current config is SATA Drives 0 and 1 in Raid 1 partitioned as c and d.  Drive 2 SATA as E and Drive 3 as SSD SATA.

My goal is to create faster response time with a DB that will run on the SSD(s).

I have (3) 128 GB SSDs to play with and optimize with a 30-40GB DB (homegrown product).

The current onboard controller is an S100/300 Perc.  My thought was to purchase a lower end SATA controller card to run the OS and use the onboard SATA controller to run the SSDs in a RAID.  I really hate rolling the dice and trying to figure out what controller would work.   Dell parts folks want to sell me a H700 for $800 and/or a S300 for $100(but NLA/out of stock).

I'm concerned about powering and ensuring extra cabling and length to run off additional SATA board.

Any suggestions or assistance would be awesome.
