Our Dell R610 not booting if USB hard drive plugged in.
I tried to update the R610's BIOS to the latest version, however it is still not able to boot properly.
We have two USB backup drives that causing this problem.
If we leave the drives plugged in the system gets into a loop that can only be kicked out off if we turn off or unplug the backup drives, then restart the R610.
I even tried to use fron USB ports instead of the rear ports and changed boot priority in BIOS for the visible devices, neither worked.
Strangely the two backup drives not even show up in the boot device list, yet still causing problems.
Please let us know if you have any other suggestions how to resolve this.
