We have a poweredge 2900 server which currently has 6x73gb SAS and 2x146gb SAS. We've run out of storage space and for costs reasons would like to add SATA drives to the server.
It has a PERC 5/i raid controller. So, can we replace some of the SAS drives with large capacity SATA drives is the question?
